The "skeleton" of the hollow crate is mainly composed of two plastics, polypropylene (PP) and polyethylene (PE). They are like the combination of steel bars and concrete in buildings:
PP material: strong impact resistance, suitable for scenes that require frequent transportation, can bear 15-20kg without deformation at room temperature
PE material: outstanding flexibility, remains elastic in low temperature environments, and is not easily brittle at minus 20°C
Mixed formula: Some products will add calcium carbonate to enhance hardness, and the proportion is usually controlled between 10% and 15%.
2. Green revolution of recycled materials
Under the trend of environmental protection, recycled plastics are becoming the new favorite of the industry:
Physical regeneration: The recycled plastic is crushed and cleaned and then directly melted and recycled, reducing the cost by 30%
Chemical regeneration: Reduced to monomer through depolymerization reaction, the purity is close to the level of new materials
Performance balance: The box made of high-quality recycled materials has a load-bearing capacity of up to about 85% of that of new materials.
3. The raw materials determine the character of the box.
Different recipes will give the box a unique "personality":
Food-grade raw materials: PP particles certified by FDA, can directly contact dry food
Anti-static formula: Add carbon fiber to the plate, the surface resistance value can be controlled at 10^6-10^9Ω
UV-stabilized: The outdoor service life of boards containing light stabilizers is extended by 3-5 years.
