Tacky mats are primarily placed at the entrances and buffer zones of clean environments-such as cleanrooms, air showers, and material airlocks-to capture dust and contaminants from the soles of shoes and the wheels of transport carts.

Key industries utilizing these mats include semiconductors and microelectronics, pharmaceuticals and bioengineering, medical equipment and operating rooms, food processing, cosmetics, precision instruments, laboratories, aerospace, and photographic equipment-essentially any setting with strict environmental standards.

Washable, reusable high-efficiency tacky mats have also entered the market. These mats effectively capture particles ranging from 0.1 to 100 μm in size. Primarily used in internal transit corridors and at facility entrances, they are capable of trapping the majority of contaminants carried by footwear and wheels. Their adhesiveness can be restored through washing, allowing for a long service life, and they often feature properties such as antistatic capabilities.

Additionally, specialized, customized tacky mats are available to meet the unique requirements of various industries, including antistatic versions, mats designed specifically for PCB manufacturing, and acid/alkali-resistant varieties.
